Sensational herb bread:
2 ¼ cups bread flour
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried basil
½ teaspoon fine sea salt
2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast
1 cup warm water (between 90-100F)
1 teaspoon molasses
In a large bowl, combine flour, onion powder, oregano, rosemary, basil and salt. Set aside
In a separate bowl, mix together yeast, water and molasses. Set aside for 5-10 minutes, until a light foam forms.
Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the wet mixture. Mix together until a soft dough forms. Place dough on the counter and knead for 1-2 minutes.
Transfer the dough to an 8-4 inch nonstick bread pan and cover. Leave in a warm, draft-free place to double, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Uncover and bake for 30-35 minutes. Bread is done when it sounds hollow when tapped on the top with your knuckles.
