100 grams mixes nuts. I used pecans, walnuts and hazelnuts
50 grams seeds, such as Chia seeds, hemp seeds, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds
100 grams dried fruits, such as dried blueberries, medjool dates, dried apricots, dried plums, dried ginger pieces
1 tbsp. turmeric
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp. honey
1 1/3 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp. wheat bran
Preheat oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit. In a food processor, pulse the nuts, seeds, dried fruit and spices with the finely grated orange zest, then put everything in to a bowl. Peel the orange, then blitz the orange with the peeled banana in the processor. Pour the mixture in a large pan, add honey and top up to 2 cups total volume with water. Cook on medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Keep stirring, for 5 minutes, or until the oats start releasing their starch and the mixture becomes gluey.
Transfer to a non-stick 8x8 inch square baking tray. Spread it out and bake for 45 minutes or until golden and set. Leave to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Cut out 12 squares and transfer to a airtight container. Store them in the fridge for three days.
