Plant-based Waffles


1 cup quinoa flour

1 cup whole spelt flour

1 tbsp. baking powder

4 tbsp. maple syrup

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

1/4 cup walnut oil

1 tsp vanilla bean

1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Pinch of salt


1.Brush heart waffle iron with walnut oil. Combine milk, walnut oil, maple syrup, vanilla and apple cider vinegar in a blender and blend until very smooth. Add in flour, baking powder, salt and blend until batter is thick.

2.Set batter aside for 5 minutes.

3.Preheat closed waffle iron for 1 minute each side on burner. Pour 1 cup of batter onto iron and cook for 2 minutes until browned. Turn over and cook other side until done.

4.Remove waffle gentle.

5.Repeat until all the batter is used.

6.Serve warm with topping of choice and enjoy!
